A Princess Cake

A few weeks ago I was asked to make a chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream for an adorable little girl's fifth birthday party. The only specifications were that it be fit for a princess, so I knew that I could deliver on this request. Seeing as how I am well-versed in all things sparkly and pink thanks to my own sassy little five year old, I immediately decided on a sweet little pink 6" three layer cake with my favorite sprinkles on top. The buttercream is made with homemade raspberry preserves made right in my own kitchen and tastes so fresh against the rich chocolate cake. I loved making this cake and especially happy that when they enjoyed it on Saturday that it was princess approved!
